Michael Marrs Biblical CounselorMy name is Michael Marrs, and I am pleased you have chosen LOGOS Christian Counseling Center (LCCC) at Easthaven to receive Pastoral counseling services. In order for you to make a fully informed decision about utilizing my services, I would like to share some information about myself, and what I do in counseling. I am the Director of Pastoral Counseling for LCCC at Easthaven Baptist Church. I received my Master of Divinity Degree from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary—where I am currently enrolled in the Doctor of Ministry in Biblical Counseling program. I am also pursuing certification as a Biblical Counselor through the National Association of Nouthetic Counselors (NANC), under the supervision of Dr. Stuart Scott. In addition, I am in the process of fulfilling the requirements necessary to become a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Montana. As a student seeking licensure in Montana, I am working under the direct supervision of Matthew Fitzwater, LCPC, and Associate Pastor overseeing Easthaven’s counseling ministry.
ValuesI consider myself to be a Biblical/Pastoral counselor. As such, my counseling approach is Christ-centered and biblically based—believing that the Bible provides thorough guidance and instruction for faith and life (2 Peter 1:3 and Romans 15:4). Therefore, my counseling methodology is based on scriptural principles for soul care, personal healing, and discipleship.
While I meet and accept people where they are spiritually, I seek to involve God in the counseling process. Therefore, one of my primary goals is to encourage people to establish, develop or enhance a meaningful relationship with Him as they engage in counseling. My goal is to help you meet the challenges of life in a way that will please and honor our Lord Jesus Christ and allow you to enjoy fully His love for you and His plans for your life. |
